Atletico Madrid lost the chance to tighten their grip in the chance to win the La Liga after they conceded a late goal to draw 1-1 against Real Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano on Sunday.

Atletico Madrid broke the deadlock in the 15th minute following a goal from Luis Suarez, the home team wasted some scoring opportunity in the first half.

Real Madrid was also denied from the spot after it appeared an Atletico Madrid fouled in the box.

Real Madrid had most of the ball possession but Atletico Madrid was more defensive in their approach but Los Blancos crawled back with a Karim Benzema tap in from a close range to make it 1-1.

The game ended 1-1 with Atletico Madrid gradually losing its grip on La Liga.
