Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane has revealed that winning back-to-back Champions League titles wasn’t his happiest career moment but lifting the 2019/20 LaLiga Santander title.
The Frenchman led the Los Blancos to tip Barcelona to La Liga title and labelled it as among the most satisfying in his life.
“In the end, having been able to finish LaLiga, having played it and finally won it, has been a great satisfaction and a great joy,” he told AFP.
“I could say that the day we won it was almost one of the happiest days of my life. Paris Saint-Germain and Lyon reached the Champions League semi-finals and Zidane congratulated both French sides.
“For PSG it is already an exceptional course and for Lyon, which is the first time they are in the semi-finals, it is formidable,” he added.
“It is great for French clubs. “There is a little bad talk about the Ligue 1.
“I say it is a great league, a difficult championship and seeing two French clubs go so far in the Champions League is good.”
