A State House of Assembly member-elect, Yahaya Musa, who confirmed the incident said all those killed were farmers and that those who sustained gunshot injuries were rushed to hospitals for treatment.

Nine farmers have been killed while three others were abducted by bandits in Unguwar Danko near Dogon Dawa village in Birnin Gwari Area of Kaduna State.

The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon, May 20, 2023, when the victims were working on their farms.

A State House of Assembly member-elect representing Kakangi Constituency, Yahaya Musa, who confirmed the incident on Monday May 22, said all those killed were farmers and that those who sustained gunshot injuries were rushed to hospitals for treatment.

“Yes, it was confirmed to me this Sunday morning that nine farmers were killed by bandits at Unguwar Danko near Dogon Dawa village on Saturday afternoon, and others sustained gunshot injuries,” he said.

According to him, some villagers, who were angry confronted the bandits, leading to some villagers sustaining gunshots injuries.
