Barcelona has suffered a major setback ahead of the clash against Inter Milan in the midweek in the Champions League.
Barcelona could be without Ousmane Dembele at the Camp Nou when they welcome Inter Milan following a hamstring injury sustained by the French man on Saturday.Dembele was dropped from the squad that face Getafe in the La Liga as he continued his recovery process, Catalans head coach Ernesto Valverde revealed that the Frenchman was dropped as he did not want to rush his recovery. However, a statement by the club has now indicated that Dembele has picked up a relapse and is set for another spell on the treatment table.
“Tests carried out on the first team player Ousmane Dembele have concluded that he has a hamstring strain in his left leg,” Barca said on their website on Saturday night.”His recovery will dictate his return to action.”At the moment, it looks almost certain that Dembele will miss the midweek’s Champions League clash with Inter Milan. The French winger could possibly be out of action when Barcelona hosts Sevilla at Camp Nou next weekend. Valverde faces a selection dilemma with the likes of Lionel Messi and Ansu Fati also out of action with respective injuries.
