Barcelona and Napoli players have sent a touching message to leaders of Russia and Ukraine to end the dispute that has already claimed lives of innocent citizens.

Reports in the early hours of Thursday indicated a Russian invasion of the Ukraine, leaving many worried about the situation in the eastern European country.

Before the Europa league game between Barcelona and Napoli, the two clubs walked onto the Stadio San Paolo pitch with a banner that read ‘stop war’.

It is understood that the people of Ukraine have started leaving their homes for fear of their lives. Meanwhile, the message from Barcelona and Napoli as well as some high sporting personalities will lead to the seize of fire from Russia.
