BBNaija Day 16: A sombre Monday mood takes over the house

The Big Brother house started the week with heavy hearts after Sabrina’s exit, turning Monday into a gloomy day filled with quiet moments and honest talks.

The housemates woke up in high spirits this morning, energised and ready to tackle whatever the day might bring. Smiles were abundant, and the usual morning hustle was alive with chatter and laughter.

But as the hours slipped by, a noticeable shift took hold and the once lively atmosphere began to fade, replaced by a heavy and uneasy stillness. Sabrina’s unexpected departure due to medical reasons cast a profound shadow over the house, leaving many unsettled and visibly downhearted.

The usual bursts of laughter and playful banter grew scarce, and even the most energetic corners of the house felt subdued, as if the weight of the news had sapped the collective spirit. Mide said she hopes the mood in the house will eventually change.

Amidst this heavy mood, Jason Jae and Dede found a quiet moment to have a heartfelt conversation about their friendship. Jason Jae opened up about the complexities of their bond, while he deeply values what they’ve built, there are times when he feels Dede isn’t quite there for him in the way he needs, especially when the pressures of the game becomes overwhelming.

He shared how he tends to retreat into himself during those moments of loneliness, even though he makes a conscious effort to be a pillar of support for others around him.

Their talk was raw, exposing the vulnerability that often hides beneath the surface in Biggie’s house. It ended on a tender note, with both admitting they missed the closeness they once had.

Mondays are for the Head of House challenger and after intense competition and heated battles, Tracy fought hard and managed to keep the crown on her side. She remains Week 3’s official Head of House.

Biggie’s house is settling into the new week with the arrival of an intriguing theme. This week’s theme is ‘Circus Extravaganza’ – a visual spectacle! Featuring a variety of acts and vibrant costumes, the theme is designed to thrill both our housemates and the audience.

This week, housemates have been split into two groups and will compete for buying power throughout the week.
