BBNaija’s Mercy And Ike To Premier Reality TV Show On Africa Magic

DSTV Africa Magic has announced a new reality TV show whose main focus are two of Big Brother Naija stars, titled, Mercy and Ike Reality Show. The reality TV show is all about Big Brother Naija 2019 winner, Mercy Eke and her in-house lover, Big Brother Naija 2019 housemate, Ike.

This announcement has also made Mercy Eke the first female winner of BigBrother Naija who has her own reality TV show.

Africa Magic’s Mercy and Ike is set to premiere on the 26th of April 2020 at 6 pm on Africa Magic Showcase on DSTV Channel 151. The reality TV show would be a welcome distraction from the world’s current situation.

Africa Magic tweeted the announcement saying,

“You asked for it and we’re delivering! Okay maybe you didn’t really ask for it but we’re still delivering! #AMMercyandIke premieres on April 26th, at 6pm (WAT), on DStv CH 151 AM Showcase.”

Mercy and Ike reality TV show will focus on the couple and how their relationship is progressing and has progressed since the season finale of Big Brother Naija 2019. It will feature the bad sides and good sides of their relationship.

Although some Twitter users have condemned the show by saying it is scripted, die-hard fans of BBN19 winner Mercy Eke, have said they can’t even wait for the premier. They also add that they would even want the show to be aired sooner than the announced date.

Africa Magic has said that the show will only be aired on Africa Magic Showcase, Mercy and Ike will not be available to South Africans to watch. This is because Africa Magic Showcase DSTV channel 151 is not available for viewing in South Africa where the couple, Mercy especially, has a lot of fans.

South African fans are currently calling for a review of that policy as they would love to see their favourite Big Brother Naija 2019 couple on TV. Nigerians who are not subscribed to DSTV have also asked Africa Magic to air Mercy and Ike reality show on TV entertainment providers such as GOTV.
