My first couple ofFor The Life Of Mimiposts were right around the 2015 AMVCAsand they were all about my outfit inspirations, my expectations and my experience at what I termed “The Ball”at the time. Well, the 2016 AMVCAs went by this past weekend and that can only mean one thing: IT’S BEEN A YEAR!!!
Preparing for the Awards this year was relatively easy. I had a crystal clear picture of how I wanted to look and feel, withcomfort being the key word and I teamed up with some old favourites and some new loves to pull it all together.
The day started with me sitting in Doranne Beauty’s chair for Theo to work her magic on my face, and work it she did!
I documented the process on my snapchat…
…and was more than happy with the result.
Because my dress was a solid colour devoid of shine, I looked to my accessories to add some sparkle to the look.
A quick photo session before I exited the door completed my process.
I totally adored my look and if I could, I would change nothing; so dare I say that my glam squad absolutely slayed!
Back to the topic of this post,it’s been a whole year!A whole year of me sharing bits and pieces of me with you and a whole year of you humouring me with your time, attention and words.
