The flagship cryptocurrency, Bitcoin has continued to lose its value after yesterday’s trading.
Bitcoin continued to lose value after trading below the $33,000 mark on Thursday. Also, the entire market capitalisation of all 10,000+ crypto assets in existence shed billions during midnight trading sessions, according to Bitcoin.com. The crypto economy has lost more than six per cent to close at $1.38tn, according to Bitcoin.com. Bitcoin has lost 2.87 per cent in a week. Bitcoin has lost 49.64 per cent of the all-time high it attained three months ago. Its dominance has dropped to 44.3 per cent, while ethereum has seen its dominance grow by 18.3 per cent. On Thursday, ethereum held the second largest position in terms of market capitalisation with $251bn. The digital currency gained over two per cent this week. According to coinmarketcap.com, bitcoin was $32,811.68 as of 8:08pm Nigerian time on Thursday.
