Omokri claimed on his social media page that President Muhammadu Buhari detests Igbos.

“Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has told Igbos to forget the presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress.
 
According to him, President Muhammadu Buhari will not allow any Igbo speaking person to get the presidential party ticket.
 
Omokri claimed that Buhari detests Igbo people and was only tolerating them.
 
The socio-political activist said in a post on his verified Twitter page on Friday, that any Igbo aspirant who thinks he will get an APC ticket is deluded.
 
Omokri’s tweet reads: “If any Igbo thinks he will get the APC ticket, he is deluded. Buhari detests you. He only tolerates you. How many Igbo are in Aso Rock? The highest-ranking Igbo on Buhari’s staff is Sunday Aghaeze, his photographer. Ben Akabueze is at Budget Office, not Aso Rock!”.
