Bus injures 22 during Christmas day celebration

22 persons have reportedly been injured by a bus during Christmas day celebration in Gombe.

This was disclosed by the spokesperson for the Gombe State Police Command,
Buhari Abdullahi.

The Police noted that the commercial bus lost control and rammed into a Christmas procession in Tumfure community, Gombe State on Christmas Day, injuring 22 people.

He stated that the celebrants were en route to the Government House and Gombe Emir’s Palace for homage when the accident occurred.

He however stated that the injured were taken to the Federal Teaching Hospital and Specialist Hospital for treatment.

Abdullahi added that an investigation has been launched, on the orders of the Commissioner of Police, and assured that a thorough probe will be carried out.
