Celestial Church prophet sells candle for ₦1.5 million during live service

A member of the Celestial Church of Christ has stirred widespread reactions after purchasing a candle reportedly sold for ₦1.5 million during a church service.

The incident was captured in a video posted on TikTok by user @yourariesqueenofficial, showing the moment prophets inside the church were advertising the candles to the congregation.

In the footage, one prophet is seen moving the candle around, while another holds a microphone and continuously announces increasing prices starting from hundreds of thousands, climbing to ₦1.1 million, and eventually reaching ₦1.5 million.

To the surprise of many members, a male congregant stood up, indicated interest, and walked to the altar where he received the candle and knelt down in what appeared to be a symbolic act.
