Chaos as shouting men rush at Donald Trump during his speech in Israel’s parliament (video)

Two men were led away seconds after trying to rush at Donald Trump during his speech in Israel’s parliament.  

As the US President discussed how “great” Steve Witkoff is during his speech in front of Israel’s Knesset, loud shouting could be heard from the Knesset floor. 

It was not clear who it was that was shouting, but cameras quickly cut to a man being stopped by security as he ran down towards Trump before quickly being led away while still shouting and holding up a piece of paper that said “genocide”. 
 

It was later confirmed that MKs Ofer Kasif and Ayman Odeh were the men who tried to storm Trump, both of whom are left-wing members. 

Odeh has been outspoken about Trump, and is not a fan of Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, while Ofer Kasif has been vocal about the Israeli Defence Force’s actions in Gaza, and was expelled from the Knesset at one stage “for accusing the IDF of committing war crimes, as well as his signing of South Africa’s genocide petition to the International Court of Justice.” 

The chaos didn’t stop Trump as he praised the security and said: “That was very efficient”. 

He then continued to talk about Steve Witkoff. 

During Trump’s long-winded speech, he said: “We gather in a day of profound joy and soaring hope of renewed faith and above all a day to give our deepest thanks to the almighty God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.” 

“After so many years of unceasing war and endless danger, today the skies are calm, the guns are silent and the sirens are still. 

“This is not only the end of a war, this is the end of an age of terror and death and the beginning of the age of faith and hope, and of God. 

“It’s the start of a grand concord and lasting harmony for Israel and all the nations of what will soon be a truly magnificent region.”
