Chelsea have identified Arsenal flop, Serge Gnabry from Bayern Munich as an alternative for Barcelona bound Leeds United’s Raphinha.

Chelsea had already agreed a fee to sign Raphinha from Leeds but the Brazil international has his heart set on a move to Barcelona.

Chelsea need more attackers despite being close to sealing a deal for Raheem Sterling from Manchester City.

Now The Mail reports that the Blues have made an ‘inquiry’ into Gnabry, who had earlier rejected a new contract from the German champions.

Gnabry returned to Germany in 2016 after spending five unproductive years at Arsenal. He joined Bayern Munich a year later.

The 26-year-old has enjoyed four impressive seasons with Bayern, scoring 17 times last season.
