Chelsea’s move to sign Raheem Sterling from Manchester City could be wrapped up this week, according to the UK Mirror.

It is understood that Blues owner, Todd Boelhy, has personally made contact with City with a formal bid set to follow.

The Premier League champions may be willing to sell for around £55m.

Sterling, 27, has one year left on his £300,000-a-week contract at The Etihad, but is desperate to get more playing time.

That has alerted Chelsea with Thomas Tuchel very keen and has already outlined his vision to Sterling and how he would fit into his plans.

It would be one of the biggest deals of the summer, with an England international switching between two Premier League rivals.
