Chelsea and Tottenham are monitoring the situation of Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema as the Frenchman emerged as a surprise target for the London club.

The report in Spain says Chelsea and Spurs are keeping eye on the situation at the Santiago Bernabeu, Benzema has just 18 months left on his current deal and the London clubs could offer him prolong career considering his current form at Real Madrid.It is believed that Benzema is only entertaining the offers to get a deal better deal from Real Madrid.

Chelsea has not really got the touch upfront since the departure of Didier Drogba though Diego Costa was prolific but was not settled at Stamford Bridge under Antonio Conte, Tammy Abraham is showing all the right signs this season at Stamford Bridge and long may that continue.
