“Christmas no dey sweet again” – Man reminisces on how Christmas was celebrated in the past

A Nigerian man has taken to his X page to reminisce on how Christmas was celebrated in the past, stating that “Christmas no dey sweet again.”

John, in a tweet on Wednesday, Christmas day, highlighted some of the activities that made Christmas fun.

He stated that those days during Christmas Eve, children would light fireworks, moving from one compound to another and from one street to the other.

He added that on Christmas day, they would put on their new clothes and move from house to house to eat rice and chicken.

He however,noted that it is not the same these days.

He stated that his children spent Christmas day in their rooms playing games on their tablets.

He stated, “Christmas no dey sweet again.

Those days, na banger every night.

Compound vs compound.

Street vs street.

24th na war zone.

Then on 25th, we go to wear fine clothes.

Go house to house to eat rice & chicken.

My kids are indoors, playing roblox on their tabs.”

So unfortunate.
