The suspect allegedly lured his niece into a security room and had carnal knowledge of her.

“A 36-year-old man, Ahmad Musa, has been remanded in a correctional centre by a magistrates’ court in Kano State for r#ping his seven-year-old niece.

A  First Information Report (FIR) from one Yakubu Lawan of Ayagi Quarters in Dala LGA, filed at Dala police station alleged that on March 17, 2022, Ahmad Musa of Kofar Ruwa Quarters lured his niece (name withheld) into a security room at the same address and had carnal knowledge of her.

Musa who appeared in court on April 4, pleaded not guilty to the charge filed against him.

The magistrate, Mustapha Datti, thereafter ordered that Musa be remanded at a correctional facility and adjourned the case to May 23.
