Darey Art Alade visits late Sound Sultan’s grave, begs for forgiveness

The video of the visit to Sound Sultan’s tomb by Nigerian singer Darey Art Alade has created an emotional stir online. When he visited the grave of his late colleague, Sound Sultan, a renowned Nigerian singer songwriter, Art Dare Alade shared an emotional moment.

Darey can be seen in a video posted on Instagram placing flowers at the grave site and crying. For not having been able to go sooner, he regretted his absence and begged the spirit of Sound Sultan for forgiveness.

Darey had written in his sincere message attached to the video,

“Lanre, since your sudden departure, I’ve only just been able to visit your gravesite. Ma binu. You know how these things go. Farida and the kids miss you much. We all do in our own various ways.”

He regretted that he had not been able to pay his respects earlier, and acknowledged the impact that Sound Sultan’s absence had had on their lives.

Dare thanked God and was grateful to him in spite of the difficulties he had faced since Sound Sultan died.
