“Davido is the least arrogant among his peers” – Patrick Doyle

Veteran Nollywood actor Patrick Doyle has praised Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, for his remarkable humility despite his impressive pedigree and status.

Doyle shared his thoughts in a Facebook post, highlighting Davido’s ability to maintain composure and dignity amidst criticism from his peers.

Patrick acknowledged that Davido, often perceived as flashy and brash due to the nature of show business, is fundamentally respectful and self-effacing.

“He is perhaps the least arrogant of his peers, even when he has the credentials to be the most arrogant, given the aristocracy of his antecedents compared to his street-raised peers,” Doyle wrote.

The actor attributed Davido’s humility to traits inherited from his father, a billionaire business mogul known for his modesty. Doyle also praised the musician for his willingness to accept corrections from elders and his refusal to engage in public feuds.

He added, “I have also noticed his attitude towards them and the relentless attacks. For the most part, he has maintained a calm disposition and a reluctance to engage his adversaries. I find this commendable, and I imagine it is an inherited trait from his father who, though a business mogul, is possibly the most self-effacing billionaire around.

“The young man, on the other hand, appears to be flashy and brash at first look. However, showbusiness, his vocation, demands he be that way.”
