It is finally done! Manchester United have extended David De Gea’s stay at the club. According to Daily Record, the much-awaited agreement between all sides has been achieved and De Gea will be now earning 15 million euros per year at Man United.
Same source claims it is a four-year contract that they have signed with the goalkeeper, which is expected to keep him at the club through June 2023. De Gea had high demands and for the past few months it was not always obvious that he would actually sign the extension. The Devils were afraid they could be slowly losing one of their main assets, but now those fears have disappeared.
The club have agreed to give him a deal in line with that of Paul Pogba, and will make around 290 thousand euros per week. De Gea’s performances over the last five years have made him the most important player and it is a groundbreaking deal in seeing a goalkeeper get such a huge salary.
Good one
