An engineer at the Delta State Polytechnic has successfully developed a generator that operates without fuel and can power household appliances continuously for up to 21 hours.
This impressive innovation was shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) by user @Akinjoshua2017, who posted a video of the engineer explaining how the generator works.
The engineer refers to the invention as an “electromechanical device.”
In his words: “We have here a fuel-less generator, 2.5KVA. It can power household appliances. As it’s working, it’s charging itself. It can run for 21 hours, it’s mobile, and has no issues with fuel. We call it an electromechanical device.”
The video also shows the device actively powering several appliances, including a refrigerator, television, and other household gadgets, showcasing its real-time functionality.
The invention has sparked interest online, with many praising the innovation and potential benefits amid rising fuel costs and power instability in Nigeria.
