Ibrahim gave the advisory while addressing the 2021 Batch ‘C’ Stream two prospective corps members and camp officials in a nationwide broadcast today.

National Youth Corps members have been issued a new warning by the NYSC Director-General, Shuaibu Ibrahim.
Corpers have been warned against embarking on community projects with their personal savings.
The warning was contained in a statement issued on Monday, November 29. Ibrahim gave the advisory while addressing the 2021 Batch ‘C’ Stream two prospective corps members and camp officials in a nationwide broadcast today.
The DG also warned the corps against obtaining loans to execute community projects, suggesting to the corps members to rather source funds within the community where the project would take place.
He said: “Don’t borrow money or use your personal money to execute projects.”
He also advised the corps to either choose personal or group projects that they could accomplish within the period of the service year.
During the address, the DG also tipped the corp members on how they can emerge as the winner of the NYSC Presidential award.
Ibrahim said: “For you to win the NYSC President’s National Hounours Award, your assessment starts from your first day in camp and you must have excelled in all the four cardinal programmes of the NYSC namely; Orientation Course, Primary Assignment, Community Development Service, and Winding-Up/Passing-Out.”
