Bolaji Maruf popularly known as Bjmurphy is a multitalented musical artist, actor, prolific writer, motivational speaker amongst others. He just released his most anticipated maiden body of works( 16 Tracks Album) titled MVMW (My Voice My Wealth) which is now available on all streaming platforms.

Born and raised in the heart of Kaduna State Metropolis. He is a Nigerian who hails from Offa Local Government Area in Kwara State. This fast-rising star with mellifluous voice is partly a Ghanaian through his mother’s maternal ancestry. He is a graduate of Mass Communication from the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi.

He did his compulsory NYSC programme in Aidogodo-Okpoga in Okpokwu LGA in Benue State where he diligently put in his best to make sure the aim of the scheme was not defeated in any way as he did his utmost to indelibly etch his name in the memory of the people in the community.

As an Afro-pop, and R n B singer, music to Bjmurphy is what water is to life. What makes his brand of music extra-special and so unique lies in his versatility to blend different native Nigerian genres of music together to give it a global appeal. Little wonder he calls his sounds “Assorted Afro-Jamz”. He sees music as a talent that must be explored to the fullest, else it becomes the greatest disservice to humanity.

He was a backup singer in the then Fuji music group(Yoruba indigenous music) comprising of teenagers with different musical skills. Having grown up with the burning passion to have a career in the highly competitive musical industry, he became a member of the now defunct musical duo group”KBJ”. However, the activities of the group were short-lived as he would later become a solo artiste.

His solo career soon took a huge flight after he dropped his first single titled “Padi Reke” to convince everyone around that he is in for a serious music business. Then, there came a different twist to the story when he released his poetically-inspired love song (Pop the Question) for every lover to relish. To completely chase every shadow of doubt into oblivion, “Ife Mi” was brought to the fore to stake a deserved place in the music scene as a beautiful love story was told in the most melodious fashion.
