Bio:-
A graduate of Marketing, the generous and talented, Chukwunonso Mkpume found his love for the guitar at age 8. Refusing to be discouraged by unavailability of a music school or skillful tutor within his vicinity he would look out for live band, gospel or high-life, at any event where he readily befriends the guitarist and scrape out one or two tips. The talented, though unlucky, footballer found his form when he eventually joined a high-life band group, in his late teens. Surprisingly, he picked up interest in singing against all odds.
In 2010 Nonni brand came to be as he formed his band – The Royal Stars. Nonni has since traveled across several state of Nigeria performing at both high societal, and low key events as well as road shows.
Despite his wealth of experience from having scored and accurately performed hundreds of melodies and lyrics of great artists, past and present, his first Album “Skin Pain” was original in every form.
Leadership and administration is second nature to the graceful dancer and entertainer. He is currently serving as the Chairman Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria(PMAN) Enugu East Chapter.
Over the years he has had his own fair share of betrayals, disappointments and discouragements, hard times, heart breaks, near death experiences. But in these God has always helped him emerge victorious. Nonni’s latest single ‘Thankful’ was culled from a greatful heart to his Awesome God.
