Abubakar Salim, known professionally as Salim A is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. Who hail from Edo state, and he is done with his tertiary form of education and had also completed his youth service program (NYSC). He released his debut EP on the 29th of June.

The EP titled African icons – lyrical journal is a tribute EP to Davido, Wizkid and Yemi Alade. African icons – lyrical journey seems to portray the styles of these musicians which shows his songwriting skill. This EP could just be the start of Salim A as a fast rising star.
