Edo Governorship: Makarfi Screens Candidates, Issues Certificate Of Clearance
The People’s Democratic party PDP under the distinguish chairmanship of Senator Ahamed Makarfi has concluded the screening of candidates for the Edo state Gubernatorial elections.
The chairman who made this known earlier today listed the candidates screened as
1. Pastor Ize-Iyamu
2. Solomon Edebiri
3. Mathew Iduoriyekemwen.
Consequently a certificate of clearance have been issued to all three aspirants clearing them to participate in the forth coming primaries , the attempt by the former party Chairman Senator Ali Modu Sheriff to lure the aspirants to himself and further cause divisions suffered a major set back as the party in Edo state just like the 36 state chapters and all aspirants ignored him and aligned with the INEC recognized leadership of the PDP.
Speaking further today Makarfi stated that the era of imposition is over as the party moves towards entrenching internal democracy.
Barring any unforseen circumstances political analysts have predicted a clear win for People’s Democratic Party owing to the lackluster performance of comrade Adams Oshiomole in his second term, hunger and the complete collapse of the economy under APC government of General Buhari.
Oshiomoles penchant for unsubstantiated allegations and consistent support to anti Niger Delta policies may worsen the plight of his party in the forth coming elections.
