Employer Fires Three Staff Who Arrived Late For Work Due To Heavy Downpour

Three employees have been dismissed from their jobs in Lagos state today after they resumed late due to the heavy downpour.

Their employer who disclosed this on social media said their excuse that it was raining wasn’t tenable as the company has a strict policy on punctuality.

”I sent 3 of my workers back home today..their excuse was ‘Rainfall’ I didn’t listen to them coz that wasn’t enough excuse for me + they already know the rules of the company

They were 1hr 15 minutes late.. our company has a strict policy on Punctuality!”the employer wrote

Twitter users however dug up a tweet shared sometime back by the employer where he said he wasn’t resuming early to work because of a heavy downpour
