Everton is in talks to sign Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo before the end of the Premier League transfer deadline on Thursday, according to report.

The Toffees are in hurt for center-back after Kurt Zouma returned to Chelsea from a season-long loan and Ashley Williams and Phil Jagielka are released.Everton also proposed a loan move for Chris Smalling as well who might have his game time limited at Old Trafford following the arrival of Harry Maguire from Leicester City. Everton wanted to sign Rojo last summer but the deal broke down in the last minute and it is generally believed that Everton manager Marcos Silva sees the Argentine defender as an ideal replacement for Zouma.Rojo has two years remaining on his contract at Old Trafford with the option to extend his deal by a further year.
