Food critic Opeyemi Famakin has reacted after investigative journalist David Hundeyin took a swipe at his work on X.
David Hundeyin, in a tweet, questioned Opeyemi’s credibility, describing him as a reaction-content creator who calls himself a food critic.
In a video response, Opeyemi said the criticism doesn’t bother him at all. According to him, every time he’s dragged on Twitter, it directly translates to more money in his pocket.
He explained that the online attacks usually push curious brands and food business owners to check out his Instagram page, where they see his reach, engagement, and testimonials from businesses that claim his posts boosted their sales.
Opeyemi added that while people complain about his loud and harsh style, there are calmer food critics who fit the “acceptable” mould — yet they don’t get the same attention or support.
