Former Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery has joined Italian side Fiorentina on a free transfer.
The 36-year-old Frenchman began his career at hometown club Boulogne and later played for the likes of Galatasaray and Olympique Marseille before moving to Allianz Arena after a highly successful 12-year period with Bavarian Ribery put pen to paper on a two-year contract with Fiorentina, reportedly worth €4m a season plus bonuses as he becomes fifth major summer signing after Pol Lirola, Milan Badelj, Kevin-Prince Boateng and Erick Pulgar.
Ribery made 425 appearances for the for Bayern Munich in all competitions winning nine Bundesliga title and the Champions League also finding back of the net 124 timesHe played 81 times for France, helping them reach the 2006 World Cup Final, where they lost to Italy.
