Facebook and Instagram experience downtime worldwide

Facebook and Instagram experienced a down-time worldwide.

Thousands of users were logged out of their Facebook accounts this afternoon. 

Upon attempting to re-login, Facebook messages users that it does not recognise their password 

Tracking website Down Detector showed vast outages on Instagram, Facebook and Messenger on Thursday, 

Users of Instagram, which is owned by Facebook’s parent company Meta, reported issues regarding search functions, commenting functions and other functions in the app.
