At a point in my life I also disliked white pants; I didn’t even own one for the fear of getting it dirty on time, in broad daylight and it being visible. If you are looking to achieve a subtle style then tone it down with dark colors like brown, camel or green but if you want to go all the way, pair them with bright colors like white, red or beige.
