A female rice farmer identified as Amaka Okafor was allegedly attacked by suspected herdsmen in Ogbese, Akure North.

It was gathered that the victim was working on her rice farm when the assailants stormed there and reportedly attacked her with a cutlass. She sustained injuries on her head and hands.
 
Senior Special Assistant to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on Agriculture, Akin Olotu, who confirmed the attack in a statement said the woman is responding to treatment at an undisclosed private hospital.
