Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode said he subscribes the view that killer herdsmen should be given quit notices and apprehended, but don’t subscribe to the view that all Fulanis should be given quit notice anywhere in the country, IgbereTV reports.

Kayode noted that they are called herdsmen in the south and middle belt and bandits in the north, stated that they do not represent the Fulani but only themselves and those who sent them.
Taking to his Twitter handle, he wrote;
“The herdsmen that are ravaging the SW, SS, SE & MB are the same ones that are butchering people in the NW& NE. In the south& MB we call them herdsmen & in the north they call them bandits.They do NOT represent the Fulani: they represent only themselves & those who sent them
I subscribe to the view that killer herdsmen should be given quit notices& apprehended but I don’t subscribe to the view that ALL Fulanis should be given a quit notice anywhere in the country.We are ALL Nigerians & I will defend the right of a law-abiding Fulani to reside .in any part of the country as much as I would defend the right of an Igbo, Yoruba, Ijaw or any other tribe to do same.
We must learn to separate the wheat from the chaff & to be our brothers keeper. We must not allow the actions of a few to make us hate an entire tribe.”
Femi Fani Kayode hailed Oduduwa Republic activist, Sunday Igboho for giving a seven day ultimatum to Fulanis to leave Yorubaland. Kayode described Igboho as champion and hero of the Yoruba nation.
