Activities have been planned for the nation’s 63rd anniversary by the Nigerian government. On Monday, at a World Press Conference in Abuja, the Secretary of State for Federal Government, George Akume, launched an agenda to celebrate 2023’s independence day. The theme of this year’s anniversary is “Nigeria at 63, Renewed Hope for Unity & Prosperity.
According to Akume, the programme of events will be as follows:
World Press Conference at the Abuja Radio Centre, 26 September from 11:00 a.m.
Anniversary Symposium/Public Lecture, Thursday, 28th September, 2023 at State house Conference Center at 10 am Lectures at the National Mosque Conference Centre, 10:00 a.m.
Munshawat prayers at 1:00 p.m. on Friday 29 September 2023.
Presidential Broadcast, Sunday, 1st October, 2023 at 7:00 am
Inter-Denominational Church Service on Sunday, 1st October, 2023 at the National Christian Center at 10:00am
Military Parade on Monday, 2nd October, 2023 at the Presidential Villa, at 9:00am.
