Footballer Ollie Watkins proposes to girlfriend Ellie Alderson at Lake Como during holiday in Italy (photos)

England and Aston Villa striker, Ollie Watkins has proposed to his girlfriend Ellie Alderson during their holiday in Italy.

The striker, 28, who has been in a relationship with interior designer Ellie, also 28, since 2018, took to social media to reveal they are set to tie the knot.

She told Instagram followers: ‘Special night in Lake Como with my fiancé… ahhhh sooo happy.’ [sic] 

Ellie shared the happy news alongside a series of romantic snaps from their trip to Lake Como in Italy.

The couple, who first got together in 2018, welcomed their first child, Amara in September 2021, and their second, son Marley, in April last year.
