The Uefa Nations League defending Champions Portugal was held to a goalless draw against France in their UNL  Group stage clash on Sunday evening.

Portugal showed a good defensive quality when they were tested against the World Cup Champions as it was a battle between the World Champions and the European and UNL defending Champions.

Both teams played a goalless first half draw the two teams maintained a disciplined defensive line that refused to allow the ball go into the net, Portugal defender Pepe was unlucky for his goal to have been ruled offside, though it was a right call.

France and Portugal pushed further to break the deadlock but they failed to make it happen even after 80 minutes of play.

The match was evenly contested with the ball possession and goal attempts almost on the same range.

The game ended 0-0 with both sides maintaining their unbeaten records in this year Uefa Nations League, Portugal maintain the top of the table at the moment.
