The nationwide scarcity of petrol in the country is really hitting hard on the citizens.

Motorists today queued up at AYM Shafa filling station opposite the Food Basket Roundabout at Wurukum Market to get petrol even though they are not sure the petrol available can serve them all.

A black marketer reliably told Lasgidi Online that, she got her petrol at Aliade, a town about 55 kilometers away from Makurdi. A litre of petrol is being sold for #300 in the black market.

Residents of Makurdi are calling on the government and the authorities in charge to come to their aid.
