Gernot Rohr Officially Signs 2-Year Contract To Lead Super Eagles
Gernot Rohr bags 2-year contract to lead Nigeria
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Tuesday gave 63-year-old Franco-German Gernot Rohr a two-year contract to lead the country’s team.
According to the Twitter handle of the NFF, Rohr has signed a two-year contract as technical adviser of the Super Eagles.
Officials disclosed he will be presented to the public and media next week.
At the weekend, the NFF technical committee recommended to the executive committee that the former Gabon and Niger coach be appointed after they met with him in Abuja.
His immediate task will be to qualify Nigeria to the 2018 World Cup after the Eagles failed to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations for second straight time.
Nigeria begin their qualifying campaign in Zambia on October 3.
They are also drawn against Algeria and Cameroon in a difficult group.
