A young schoolgirl has been spotted breaking down in tears after learning of her father’s death in the Plateau killings.

Photos have shown the truly tear-jerking moment a secondary school girl, Chap, learned about her father’s death in Plateau state.

The young girl who had just returned from school for the holiday, was told that her dad had been killed in the recent herdsmen-farmer clashes in Plateau State.

Local reports show that Chap had just returned from school for the holidays, but was told she couldn’t go home because her community was attacked and she was taken to the IDP camp with the hope of reuniting with her parents and siblings.

However, on getting to the IDP camp in Heipang, she asked for her dad and was told that he was burnt to death during the crisis.

Chap couldn’t hold back her tears, yesterday, during a visit for Need Assessment by Hon. Alice Dimlong Asaije and other many NGOs.
