UK-based Nigerian clergyman, Pastor Tobi Adegboyega, has reflected on his recent battle with cancer, saying that although his faith sustained him, financial capacity was a decisive factor in the outcome.
Speaking during a recent sermon, the founder of The Nxtion Family explained that the journey made him understand how real-world systems operate when a person’s life is at risk.
Adegboyega told his audience that his recovery was not simply a testimony of spiritual endurance, but also a practical demonstration of how resources influence medical access.
According to him, the treatment phase was a moment that demanded both prayer and the ability to respond financially.
“God helped me survive cancer, that is the truth. But money played a major role. Faith guided me, but money spoke for me in that hospital,” he said.
He stressed that the global health system operates with speed, priority, and influence, and those three elements are often unlocked by wealth.
Adegboyega argued that ignoring the value of finance in serious life matters would be unrealistic, especially when survival depends on rapid medical intervention.
“It was money that ensured I was not kept waiting for months. Money said I was priority. Money said, ‘this one must be attended to immediately’. Faith is vital, but financial power amplified it,” he added.
The pastor, known for his outspoken views on prosperity and purpose, said the experience reshaped his understanding of resources, and reaffirmed his belief that faith and money can operate together to secure results in the real world.
