A statement issued on Friday, August 6, by the Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to the Governor, directed Mr Tawo to hand over every government property in his possession to the Office of the Chief of Staff.

Governor, Ben Ayade has ordered the immediate sack of Mr. Thomas Obi Tawo aka General Iron, his Special Assistant on Forest Security.

A statement issued on Friday, August 6, by the Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to the Governor, Christian Ita, directed Mr Tawo to hand over every government property in his possession to the Office of the Chief of Staff.

General Iron was accused of leading the hoodlums who attacked Barrister Mark Obi, an ex-lawmaker and former Special Adviser to Governor Ayade on Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

He is reported to have supervised the assault on some senior citizens on May 20, 2020. He claimed that they were witches and set some ablaze which led to the death of three.
