Former Aston Villa striker, Gabby Agbonlahor has reacted to the signing of Kalidou Koulibaly by Chelsea.

According to him, the Senegalese defender will prove to be a great signing for Chelsea despite the price.

All is set for the Blues to announce the signing of the 31-year-old defender, who is expected to pen a five-year deal.

Agbonlahor reckons Koulibaly is just what Chelsea need after letting Antonio Rudiger leave Old Trafford this summer, but has been left surprised by the price-tag.

“Koulibaly is a good signing for Chelsea Football Club,” he told talkSPORT.

“I feel £35M for a 31 year…the price! But Chelsea needed to replace Rudiger.

“Chelsea needed a no-nonsense defender! Koulibaly is a great signing.”
