Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola aimed to sign Real Madrid midfielder Isco in a bid to strengthen his squad ahead of the upcoming season.

The former Barcelona manager is set for a late bid for Isco, according to report in the Express.Isco was instrumental to Real Madrid success in the past seasons but failed to impress in the last season scoring just 6 goals and provided an assist in 37 appearances across all competitions.

At a point, he fell out with former Real Madrid boss Santiago Solari but the appointment of Zinedine Zidane saw he had some playing time but it is unlikely that former Valencia and Malaga star will have regular playing time under Zidane particularly with the possible arrival of Donny van de Beek.Real Madird value Isco €80 million and could be an ideal replacement for Silva who is departing next season.
