Gunmen Kidnap Bauchi Politician, Demand N100m Ransom

Hon. Musa Markus Masoyi, a young politician in Bogoro LGA of Bauchi State, has been kidnapped.

The man, who was abducted by yet-to-be-identified gunmen on Tuesday, 21 November 2022 is still in captivity one week after.

DAILY POST gathered that the gunmen invaded the secretariat of Boi, a village in Bogoro LGA of Bauchi State in the dead of the night on the date and abducted the young man who was their prime target.

A resident of the village who did not want his name to be mentioned, said that the gunmen went in while everyone was asleep and whisked the hostage away to an unknown destination.

According to him, the victim was abducted along with his elder brother who was later dropped and abandoned in the bush from where he was rescued by people and taken back home.

Before his abduction, Markus Masoyi actively participated in the just concluded PDP mobilization rally to drum up support for the party in the 2023 general elections.
