Gunmen kidnap former Ogun Assembly lawmaker, Musa Maruf

Suspected kidnappers have abducted a former member of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon Maruf Musa, at Ibiade, in Ogun Waterside Local Government area of the state.

The former lawmaker was abducted during a Muslim prayer in a mosque located within his compound, at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, December 30, 2025.

Musa was a former Chief Whip of the State House of Assembly. 

The suspected kidnappers were reported to have shot sporadically to scare residents. 

It was gathered that several residents sustained injuries as a result of the gunshots.
