A businesswoman identified, Mrs Onyi Ugba, has been kidnapped.

She was kidnaped by gunmen at Okija Street, Mile 2 Diobu, Port Harcourt City local government area of Rivers State.

DAILY POST reports that the heavily armed criminals, who were about five in number, stormed the superstore of Ugba on Friday, demanding that the businesswoman hand over all the money she made from sales to them.

A source told DAILY POST that the gunmen got infuriated when the woman was unable to provide the amount of money they demanded.

While personnel of the Mile 1 Police station arrived at the scene minutes after the hoodlums had left, the spokesperson of the Rivers State Police Command, Grace Iringe-Koko, assured that the police is on the case to ensure the rescue of the victim and the arrest of the perpetrators.

DAILY POST reports that armed criminals had in December 2022, robbed Onyi Ugba of a huge sum of money running into millions, when they stormed her superstore on the same Okija Street.
