“He Sacrificed Church Members” Nephew Of Assemblies Of God Pastor Reveals Why He Killed Him

A senior pastor of Assemblies of God Church was stabbed to death by his nephew during service on Sunday, December 30 at Tema Community 4 in Ghana

Rev. Dr. David Nabegmado was attacked by Francis M.Nabegmado, 31, while preparing to leave his office to go preach in the main church auditorium.

The suspect allegedly confessed to the crime and claimed he did it because the pastor had targeted him for rituals.

The suspect, who was arrested with alcohol, turpentine, matches, a knife and a machete, claimed Rev David Nabegmado is not a true man of God because he has been “worshiping lesser gods”.

He said of the deceased:

He’s sacrificed all the family and destroyed everybody; he was worshiping a gods in the house, when he was killing the family. I have to go and bring these gods to the house to protect the house. Then he sacrificed the church members two or three in a year.

According to the suspect, he had planned to burn Rev Nabegmado’s diety after killing him in his office at the church premises on Sunday morning but he was caught after he stabbed the pastor to death.

The Tema Regional Police Command says it has started investigations into the case, adding that personnel have been dispatched to the house of the deceased as well as the church premises to ensure security.
