How DSS Took Nnamdi Kanu To Court With A Hood Covering His Face

In the video below, Nnamdi Kanu is purpotedly taken to court with a hood draped over his head so nobody could see him.

How is it that we are in a democracy but a defendant can be arraigned in court without him being allowed to even see where he is?
